Mach-E Miracle: Carrying Gutter Pipe

Went to Lowes and bought a 10' gutter downspout pipe to replace pipe on my house that was knocked down by the recent 4.8 Richter scale earthquake in NJ. I only needed 8' but I said I'll see if I can somehow fit it in. Guess what !! It did!! And the tailgate closed!

I wasn't thinking yesterday and purchased a 10' 1.25" thin wall PVC pipe. All the way to the car I was thinking "this is not gonna fit. I'm gonna have to go back in and have them cut it down". It fit without cutting. Front end easily slid into passenger footwell and the back end had inches to spare.

Recently got a 4x4 sheet of ply. Got to the car. About 2 inches too wide. Or is that long?
Thankfully I was going to cut it anyway so saved me a job to get it done there.

I did this same thing maybe 9 months ago and totally broke the front windshield. It looked like it fit, but the I closed the back and it pushed the gutter forward just enough to crack the front

saw my fair share of damage to vehicles.

My wife would shoot me if I hauled that the Mach e. That’s what my Ranger is for. ?
