Had a bad TCU when purchased. Have been waiting 6 months for a new one to come in. Anyone else have to get a new TCU for their Mach-E and if so how long did you have to wait?
I plan on trading when they are able to fix it. Don't have a lot of confidence in Ford anymore.

Trading is going to cost you a lot of money. Contact the BEV Team and start a buy-back.

I've had two replaced. Took a couple of weeks both times. The second one is good so far.

Only TCU I know are the Horned Frogs. What’s it mean for the MME?

Telematics Communication Unit. Between it and the GateWay Module, control of all updates and information is handled. If you have a bad one, you likely can’t get OTA updates or communicate with the car via the FordPass app. ??

I purchased an early 2013 Ford Cmax plug-in Hybrid (PHEV). Nicely appointed, very comfortable. Fabulous mileage. But there was a problem in virtually every system. The TCU had to be replaced 7 (yup, that's a seven...) times. They were a bad product from an outside manufacture.

Eventually at 55,000 miles I noticed the transmission slipping, got it replaced under warranty. Within a week, before the 60,000 mile warranty expired, traded it in for a Nissan Leaf, on lease till ford got the MME up and running. Fortunately my '22 MME has been flawless.
