I thought I'd take my Mach E GTPE to its native country!

I'd like to surf and/or vacay in a spot near Rosarito, BC. I've got the Sentri pass, so waiting at the border should not be an issue. Driving from San Diego.

Has anyone traveled and maybe even charged their Mach or any other EV in Mexico yet?

I’d love a trip report!

Watch out for coyotes on the road at night. Friend of mine blasted one with her Nissan (something) at about 90mph at 4 in the morning. Car's not totaled but there's nothing of value in the front of a Nissan anyway. Us however will have a $4k repair hitting a ground squirrel.

We are heading to Rocky Pointe this afternoon in our GT. I am super nervous about it. Wish us luck!

I would strongly recommend not driving at night.

Coyote has a different meaning down in Mexico :D

OP, if you've never driven into Mexico before, be sure to contact your insurance agent and ask them what, if any additional coverage you will need. You may potentially have to get a third party insurance rider for your stay south of the border to make sure you are properly protected.

This site seems to cover some of the basics of driving a foreign plated vehicle into Mexico. I'd check it out to give you some idea what you are in for.
