Hello all, I've recently been lucky to get my MME and I love it. I'm having problems home charging though and wonder if others have experienced same issues. I have the Podpoint charger installed but there seems to be a conflict issue when scheduling a charge overnight using the Fordpass app or the Podpoint app (I've tried both). When I plug the MME in it starts charging immediately even if a scheduled charge has been programmed and the option to use scheduled charging selected on the app. Welcome any thoughts.

I am charging my car via the blue commando plug with the supplied variopwer charger.

I have noticed that for some reason the car will prioritise charge level over charge schedule. If I am at 70% and set the charge level at 100% it will start charging as soon as I plug it in. If I reduced the charge level to 80/85% it will then charge during the scheduled time. I have noticed, however, that when it reaches a level that the set charge level CAN be reach during the scheduled time it will switch of and wait until the schedule start time to finish off. Not sure if this is standard on all cars or a glitch with mine.

What I don't understand is that if you can set a schedule on your podpoint then that shouldn't provide power until the set time so therefore the car can't pull any power until the podpoint unit lets it.
My advice would be to do what I do and set the charge level so that the schedule works. If you want to charge to 100% every day then you probably won't get the full charge in your cheap rate window, depending on how much charge you use during the day.

It seems to prioritise % charge over schedule time then. Good to know but annoying. The user should be able to decide the priority not the app. I'll give your suggestion a try. I'm happy to charge over say 2 nights at cheap tariff to get the %age required, say 80/90%. Hopefully something Ford will address. Appreciate your help.

That's what I do. I am going away on Wednesday morning so will charge on my cheap rate over 2/3 days as required to get to 100%. Bit of a phaff but it works just fine.

Yes, it will start immediately to be done by the set time IF it cannot complete otherwise. Of course the charger schedule will ( has to) override that, and then the vehicle will accept it if within it's scheduled hours or the above.
