More on Updates

My bad for my prior post. I wasn’t complaining. I just wasn’t believing. My Mach E keeps warning me that it’s going to do a “major” software update in the next 24 hours, scheduled at 1:00am. It did do one (and I lost all my presets). But it still tells me that it’s going to do the same - every freaking night. I just checked, the last update actually happened on July 24. How do I get the system to stop saying it’s going to install yet another update when it never does? My car’s on strong WiFi every night and updates work all the time, it’s just like the last one left a ghost in the system and it’s on my nerve.

What does it say on the software update page in the car?

What do you see on the screen, verbatim? Screen shot will probably answer it quickly. If it says “not completed” then it’s an update that was scheduled but pulled and is waiting for Ford to resend. You can also post your VIN in the thread below to see what’s pending / failed / etc. suggestions will depend greatly on specific messages / details.

I was wrong. My bad. I really did receive yet another update last night. My radio station was messed up, but at least I didn't lose my presets again. AND, when I pulled into my garage at noon, guess what, it said there was ANOTHER update schedule for tonight. This time, I told it to do it now. And it's done. Personally, I think 4-5 updates in the last 2 weeks is a bit much, but at least they do all seem to be working. I may disable auto-update during the week.
