It's not dismissal, it's the fact the Mach-e costs more and awd adds on top of that already higher price tag. When shopping for a vehicle the cost matters (a lot), so making comparisons without taking cost into consideration aren't accurate comparisons.

If not for the generous lease deal, I would have bought another ICE vehicle at a lower cost.
Its why this topic is tough, what is comparable? Price? Size? Performance? Utility?

Personally when I bought the Mach-e it was this or a Bronco Big Bend, both were the same price point, but vastly different vehicles, but for me that was my compare shopping.

You would need to compared the different trim levels, as the pricing, ability, and options are different. My Mach-e compares to many SUVs, while the Mach-e GT compares to higher performance (and more expensive) vehicles.

You sound like a fanboy. Not a good first impression (these are my first posts on this forum as a new owner, as of yesterday 2/6). Maybe dial back your inflated enthusiasm a bit?

Just owned my car for 3 years and have closely shopped the competition over the years. Considered selling/trading for comparable EVs over time. Thats why in my first post I called that out, comparing a GT to a Rav4 is a joke. Comparing a stripped RWD select to a Porsche is also a joke. Just offered my opinion, my fully optioned AWD select is comparable to a BMW or Audi mid-size sport wagon.

Totally agree. At MSRP, I don't see any EV as a good value, IMO. However, the crazy lease deals Ford & some dealers were putting on the '24's caused us to adopt.....Our MME, at $15K off cap cost, suddenly became a better value than comparable ICE SUV's/Crossovers, so we jumped in. There are several hurdles EV's need to overcome to be more widely adopted, and high MSRP's are one of the big ones.

I havent recommended anyone buy a new EV in 2 years. Now a used EV, hells yeah. If we are talking straight value NOTHING can touch my 2020 Bolt Premier that cost me $7500. A 2 year old MME at 20-30k, that is an amazing value IMHO. But if people only shopped based on price/value the only car sold over the last 20 years would be a used Prius.

No one is keeping tabs on your past two years of posts. No one is cross shopping a 4-5 year old Bolt model, no one is buying a 20 year old Prius instead of a Mach-e. Can you shut up already?

Sure, people prioritize differently. And while price & value are related, they are also very different. There are "values" at $10K, and there are "values" at $500K. Everyone will compare facts, stats, & features based on their priorities. Comparability is a wide open exercise, but similarity is a bit more refined. I'm all for comparing anything & everything anyone sees fit, but then drawing similarities within that becomes much more condensed. And of course, there will be advantages & disadvantages based on the reviewers priorities. This is why most of it is very subjective. The hard facts (front seat leg room, 0-60, etc..) are black & white, but the subjectivity goes on & on.... ?
