Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing an issue with the stitching on my seats unraveling in four different locations including the seats and backings. I’ve already taken my Mach-E to my local Ford dealership, and they agreed it’s a manufacturing defect. However, the head company of Ford has declined my warranty claim, stating it’s a “stress issue.”
This problem started within a year of owning this car, and I barely had passengers during that time. I don’t have kids, and I was working 60-hour weeks, so the car saw very little use aside from me. My local Ford company and even a local stitching company confirmed this is a manufacturing issue. They failed to “lock”the stitching. I’ve also noticed other owners reporting the same problem, so this doesn’t seem to be an isolated case.
This is so frustrating and disappointing that a 72k luxury vehicle can deteriorate so quickly and not even under warrantee does Ford company try to amend my issue. Rumor has it will cost them around 6k to fix since they will have to take the seats apart and redo them. This is not my problem though, it is a manufacturing issue.
If anyone has connections or advice on how to escalate this with Ford, I’d really appreciate your help!
