This ^Now enter the Chinese (mainly) who, it will appear, are going to serve to normalise the pricing of EVs in more sensible proportions which largely account for the significant increase in EV sales here in UK.
“Estimated” EV range and ICE mpg figures have always been as good as a lie legitimised by inept governments and their regulations which never really regulated effectively given the quoted figures from a practically and achievable point of view has always been my observation.Note that the car is a Chinese car and range was estimated with the Chinese cycle, which is *far* more lenient than the EPA cycle.![]()
You also get a lot more range and some massive hardware cost savings with only 168hp; though I'd actually prefer an EV with 168hp for my kid's first car...Note that the car is a Chinese car and range was estimated with the Chinese cycle, which is *far* more lenient than the EPA cycle.![]()
Quite true. Not sure puppies and 168HP match up but I'd gladly have something that slow as a second around town grocery and possibly a long trip car. Daily, I'd put my paw on the MME GT's go pedal. Sub-2 mi/KWh life for me!You also get a lot more range and some massive hardware cost savings with only 168hp; though I'd actually prefer an EV with 168hp for my kid's first car...
Slow? Car? I was not aware those words could be used in the same sentence. Are you sure we’re talking about EVs? I’m pretty certain that slow and EV violate some quantum mechanics law or rule or something. Unpossible!Quite true. Oooh, is that why my washing machine accelerates from nought to 2000rpm in 1.25 seconds?Slow? Car? I was not aware those words could be used in the same sentence. Pudels–Feynman Electron Agitation Principle
“When electrons are confined within a high-density traction battery and subjected to rapid discharge, they exhibit relativistic impatience, producing an unavoidable tendency toward excessive torque, instant throttle response, and unnecessary acceleration.”
Corollary:
The probability of a battery-electric vehicle behaving like a sensible appliance decreases exponentially with available amperage.
Additional supporting “theory”:
Due to quantum tunneling effects, electrons do not merely travel through conductors — they briefly glimpse freedom itself. This existential awareness manifests macroscopically as 0–60 times no family crossover actually needs.
And the engineering shorthand:
“You can build a slow BEV.
The electrons simply prefer not to participate.”
Quantum Torque Conservation Law
“Any sufficiently energized electron cloud will eventually convert at least part of its potential energy into embarrassing acceleration.”
The only proper use of Ai is utter nonsense.
Wow!According to their cycle, our ers might be 390-405 awd or 416-432 rwd
