Dealer texted me this morning and they had a Mach E come in (their first) from somebody who reserved it in 2019 but has since been unavailable. The car literally came off the truck this morning and they prepped it and then Sue and I drove it. What a treat. I know it is old news to most of you but I was thrilled to see one and actually drive it. It is a select model and mine is a premium so it didn't have a lot of what I'll get. Mine still hasn't been scheduled but the dealer thinks he may hear something tomorrow as far as VIN and production date.

I did enjoy the drive but in all honesty the roads were somewhat snow covered and I was very tentative when driving it. I drove in unbridled mode with propulsion sounds on but my wife and I couldn't hear anything. I did "punch it" on one stretch of straight road that didn't have any snow and it threw us both back; very fast and I was impressed by that. Our Fusion Hybrid doesn't have that kind of torque and the MDX is faster than the Fusion but not like the Mach E. The GM let us drive it alone so that was nice. My wife was afraid to drive it so we'll have to wait until ours comes in. The screen was huge and I didn't expect that. No noise from the display for the driver and I really liked having that in the usual position. It had a B&O audio system and we listened to Sirius radio part of the time and it sounded good. I'm 6'2"and headroom was good in front and back but I found leg room in back inadequate for me.(although I was behind drivers seat and it was as far back as it would go). Really missed seeing the glass roof. Had the ridiculous divider in "frunk" which will come out immediately and front license plate was screwed into bumper at factory (which won't happen on my car). I'm excited to get my car and hope to hear something soon.

I just picked up my FE (Grabber Blue) yesterday so I haven't had much time with it but I wanted to make a quick observation on the frunk divider. I wasn't sure how I would like the divider but I also didn't have plans for that area anyway as this is my first EV and first frunk. I figured I would keep the divider in and use the frunk for the stuff I carry all the time but don't need as often. Figured if I developed a non-divided frunk need later I could remove it.

Well, when I was moving stuff around I noticed that the charging cable, in the bag, fit perfect in the middle back divider space. No rattling, no sliding...nice and quiet! So for now I'm keeping the divider and that will be the charger's home when we go on trips.

Cool - and what do you think you'll be able to repurpose the space in the trunk with?

No clue yet. We normally keep hiking stuff in the back of our car so I wanted the cable more accessible without moving everything. There is quite a bit of space there and if you move the tire kit to the frunk you could probably take the foam insert out. Of course then I’m removing back parts to spare front parts lol.
I was hoping to keep the rear platform at the lower level like the reviews have shown but that position isn’t level so it teeter-totters on the foam.
Honestly at this point I’m really just messing with it to spend time with the car ?

Yes, you can remove the divider or put it back easily. My charging cables will go into the exact place they come in down under the back storage compartment. They won't be there much, however, as the Mobile Charger will be mounted on my garage wall where I'll use the 240 volt cord in my NEMA 14-50 outlet.
