My Trip questions

I love looking at My Trip data after a long drive. Problem: If I forget to look before I drive it again, it seems to get reset and get erased.

The My Trip screen appears to have a Current Trip tab (not called that), a Trip 1, and a Trip 2. My Trip 1 tab covers almost the entire life of my MME from purchase date. The Trip 2 is a shorter version of Trip 1 covering a lot of miles. No clear logic for why I have either of those sets of data in Trip 1 & Trip 2.

Is there a way to have the most recent trip saved automatically?

Anything else I'm missing with My Trip screen?

Seems by design current resets, so not programed to save. From the owners manual, (link below),
RESETTING THE TRIP COMPUTER

1. From the app launcher, press Trips. See Center Display.

1. Press Trip 1 or Trip 2.

1. Press Reset.

Note: The current trip resets every time you start your vehicle.

There is no way to save a trip.

Trip 1 and Trip 2 represent whatever YOU want them to...

On day 1 they are zero.

Reset either one whenever you want, therefore YOU make each represent what YOU want it to

My Trip 2 is from day of purchase. Trip 1 is local, then reset before a.trip, then reset after the trip to again track local driving.
