Just got one today, so you jinxed me, but fortunately right in the center. I keep these and pliers right next to the factory compressor/goop dispenser. Pulled out the nail and plugged it back up. Used the compressor (NOT IN GOOP MODE) and I was on my way.

Looks like I'm finally due for new tires anyways.

Why not replace at that point? Doesnt look like enough tread to extend past the nail head!

I mentioned that at the end. I patched it because I was on the side of the road far from a Tire Rack :)

Unfortunately, unless you are driving through construction sites, it is most likely kids in your neighbourhood, or someone with an unhealthy anti-EV streak. I had an issue with that for a couple of years on my ICE and I started checking daily before rolling after the second time. Yes, the kids would prop the screws under the tire so it would puncture when I rolled. I cleared screws several several times before they got bored with it. It stopped after I installed a security camera.

Good lord! No, none of that stuff is going on where I live. That's pretty despicable.

Yes, despicable, but in reality, it was just kids who needed to learn a bit about respect.

Your situation is odd with 4 in 2.5 years. I'd be looking at the tires every time I come out to get in the car. It only takes one hooligan, usually at home or at work, where you regularly park.

I've gotten 2 nails and one machine head bolt in tires in my MME. The bolt was crazy - I could actually hear and feel the thump-thump-thump. All were repairable. The nails were probably just bad luck. I'm suspicious the bolt was an intentional act in a parking lot. I don't recall getting nails in Cleveland, but I know I got some in Phoenix and now in Columbus. Both Phx and Cbus have a lot more building construction than Cleveland did while I was there.

2 years with my MME and only 1 screw got it - fixed free at America's Tire.

Wear is down to 4/32" so it's time for RFT.

Another stolen joke:
It’s bad luck to be superstitious.

I've had four separate nails in a tire incidents in the 2 1/2 years I've owned my Mach. I had a VW Golf for over 20 years and can count on one hand how many times this happened. Curious if anyone else has experienced a similar rash of this.

I had a nail in March that was repaired. Then I had a screw in May that was in the sidewall and unrepairable. Had to get a tow. Decided to replace all 4 tires after 28,000 miles. I could probably have gotten another 5-10 so it was a little irritating. It's just bad luck.

So, I think this is going to be an on-going "blog" for me. My last post here was about 6 months ago - I was probably due...

On my way to work the other day, the low tire pressure warning alert popped up for the passenger rear tire. By the time I got to work it was pretty low. Of course, I knew what the culprit was. At lunch I pulled out the tire inflator the Mach came with (as I'm sure you can guess from this thread, not my first rodeo) and proceeded to fill it up. As I was working in the office during the afternoon, I got the warning message again on the Ford app, so when I left work for the day, filled it up again. Made it home ok.

At home, I started to proceed to find the suspect nail. I don't have a lift and didn't want to bust out the jack, so I just moved the car a little at time to check sections of thread. After a couple of moves, I found what I "believed" to be the a-hole:

Ford Mustang Mach-E Nail Magnet? Flat 1

Just that little prick (both literally and figuratively) and I thought, not too bad, but still, requires a trip to the dealer and time wasted.

But as I'm a very cautious fellow, I kept going through the inspection, "just in case". And then I came upon this angry fellow:

Ford Mustang Mach-E Nail Magnet? Flat 2

I think I found problem haha

Took it to the dealer and it was a close call not having to get a new tire. The service rep told me, luckily the two "nails" were far enough apart from each other and close enough to center they could facilitate the repair, but that that was it for this guy - any new punctures and it's new tire time.

So, for anyone keeping score at home, in three years that's 4 nails, 1 leaky valve stem.

Anyway, see you all in 6 months (hopefully 😨)
