While I love your answer...I laughed because it didn't answer the original question. Is it the new part number? My 2021 never had an issue - I suspect because I had 50K miles on it and never once DC fast charged it. I am curious which part this one has.

What am I missing? How does precise build date matter? I have never needed it on any of my cars.

Just for grins, I checked my window sticker. Maybe the Op got a defective window sticker.

The only reason it mattered to me was because the 23.5s got an upgraded heater. A welcome for Midwest weather and it worked great these past few months. And knowing your build date was June isn’t helpful for that.

I missed this - upgraded heater? I am in Massachusetts so this matters. When were they put it - what is the cut off date?

Let's be honest, knowing your build date might have been June 14 isn't helpful either. If you need those sorts of details, guessing when MY23.5 started and assuming you have one of those is not the way to do it. Contact Ford with your VIN (or maybe your dealer will know) and ask for that detail. Or, if your heat was working fine this past winter, don't worry about it.

Not every service action is vin related how would they know if your tailgate leaks or if there is wind noise or your charge session doesn't end (they probably could figure this one out but choose to do nothing about it).

It would appear that (in at least some cases, if not all), this date is the date the sticker was generated. This might coincide with build date, but doesn't always. As an example, my build date is 5/19/23, but my sticker says some date in 2024, due to a new sticker being generated when Ford dropped prices.

Agreed, which is why of the 4 window stickers I have there are three with different dates and one with nothing. ??
