I am interested in buying a 2023 Premium before the end of the year. Should I be.concerned about build date. If so, what date(s) are less risky.

The reason I ask is the production shut down earlier this year.
Thanks

You're in D.C. No need to be concerned about cold weather with an LFP battery. Any weather there you think is "cold" is not going to have enough of an effect that would cause you any concern.

If you're getting and extended-range model, then you won't even get an LFP battery.

If it helps, our Premium w/extended battery was ordered last June, built late September & received 9/22.

first half 23 builds also have an additional $3k cash incentive from ford for being "aged inventory". Otherwise not a huge deal for 23 or 23.5. I just got an august build 23.5 gtpe which I ordered in June

The other thing is that the 23.5 models (build date after June 30) have BlueCruise 1.3, whereas the 23.0 models only have BlueCruise 1.2 (for now). With the rate that they're rolling out 1.3 (which is to say, slowly and methodically, but not fast enough for most members of this forum), a 23.5 might be your best bet for the latest version of BlueCruise, at least for a while. But the 23.0 models will get it in time too...

The biggest issue that the cars have had, with HVBJB, is not something you should really concern yourself with if you're buying a '23. The issues mostly affected GT models, and the '23 models have a slightly upgraded version, which has shown to be less prone to the issue anyway.

$3000 for the Select and GT, $2000 for Premium and CR1.

From Carsdirect.com:
Ford is also offering up to $3,000 in dealer cash on Mach-Es ordered before May 1st. Here, both the Mach-E Select and the GT are eligible for the maximum amount on purchases, while the Premium and California Route 1 get $2,000.

If you're buying a standard range Premium, they changed the wheels in May to the uglier black wheels that was optional on the Select.

Also I believe that the 2023 comes with 3 years of Bluecruise and the 2023.5 comes with a 90 day trial only.

My 2023 came with BC 1.2 -3 years.

Still waiting on 1.3 coming soon!

For the 2023s, there's a $1,250 rebate on Selects. A $4,250 rebate on Premiums and The CA editions. And a $6,250 rebate on the GTs. Plus, the college, first responders, or military rebate is $500.

I got the military $500, the $4,250, and another $4k off the MSRP on my RWB, SR Premium. Those figures don't include the tax credit, but I can't use it.
Zvez was talking about the hidden dealer incentive:

How is this interpreted? "Ford is also offering up to $3,000 in dealer cash on Mach-Es ordered before May 1st."

Ordered by who? Cars ordered by the dealer or cars ordered by the customer? I interpret that to mean it's not the 2023.5 year MMEs. My build date is Sep 2023. So, either way, that wouldn't have applied, and I still negotiated $4k off the MSRP aside from the $4,250.
I think your interpretation is correct. The hidden dealer cash is only for the Job 1s since their MSRP were higher.
