Need help fixing my cracked passenger mirror

Tale as old as time: I was backing out of my garage and clipped the right side mirror. The front trim is cracked and the top cover popped off. It seems the front cover is not cracked (at least not on the outside). I am able to put it back on. However, the front bezel now has holes (see pics below).

Could someone please post the steps on how to replace the bezel?

By painful experience don’t remove the coloured backing like he does.

First remove the glass by rotating it outwards, get something flat to pry the centre of the glass off the central mount clips.

Then release the clips for the coloured backing from around the inside where the glass came from - if you do it like his video you’ll run the risk of breaking something.

Great bit of kit, though………..

In fact, looking at the parts view and from memory, you probably won’t even need to remove the coloured backing parts because once the mirror glass is out the way the screws for the bezel are accessible - 5 minute job ?

When it happened this morning and I saw the top cover fly off I feared the worst. We were in a hurry so we took my wife's car. I didn't get to check out the actual damage until after I got back home.

For now I used some electrical tape to cover the holes. It doesn't look half bad because it blends in quite well.
