I was traveling to South California last week and had a chance to visit @SimonT from EV-VIDA.store. As result of our 3-4 hour meetup my ePony (CR1) got some nice upgrades
1. the white lighting pony

2. underglow and ambient lighting (i know we cannot ride with blue and red underglow )

Total install time for the upgrades took 4 hours? Not too bad! By the way, for a vehicle without ambient light, the aftermarket kit looks amazing, and OEM!

The under glow is probably the better kit that I’ve installed. The kit itself is under $100. I think right Igor? That’s not too bad if you can install yourself.

Since Igor didn’t have OEM ambient kit with his trim, we settled for an Amazon universal kit, which has his pros and cons. Installation wise is fairly straightforward. You just simply need to connect the main module to the ground and a power source or in this instance, we decided to use a tap of fuse into a switch fuse so it turns off when the car is off. Independently and separately each door has a Bluetooth module that require its own separate power. Once power is identified along with ground, you simply connect all the lights you want to the module behind the door frame and wire each item universally for each door. When it’s all set and done, you’re ready to go; all control from your phone using an app.

To be fair at my age, they were insanely bright as well, especially the under glow. As for the interior lights, I think the pictures over amplify how annoying and irritating it is because in person is certainly more subtle. And if you want it to be dimmer, you can certainly control that part as well.

My prior vehicle had similar interior LED strips and they were much dimmer even on their brightest setting, but good to know they're not *that* bright.

I’m sure if you took a picture of that same set up you described it will look much brighter through the picture. Unless of course you took it with a zero automatic setting and instead use all manual setting so that the picture will not be auto corrected.

It's was OE/manufacturer, they weren't that bright probably to err on the side of caution for possible regulatory reasons. They did class up the interior of that Kia tho.

i had to adjust brightness after using for some time and non issue with eyes

It's was OE/manufacturer, they weren't that bright probably to err on the side of caution for possible regulatory reasons. They did class up the interior of that Kia tho.

i increased interior brightness for photo shoot. otherwise I lowered it
