New Recall for LED Module -- 2025 Mach E

I just got a text from my local dealer telling me to come in for a recall fix on my 2025 Mach E. The text says, "faulty LED headlamp module that can disable exterior lights, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of a crash". Is this for real or it just an excuse to get me into the dealer so they can upsale me something?

I heard about this last week. Last Thurs my dealer called me about it to schedule an appointment to update the software. They came out to my house last Tue (20 Jan) and performed the update in my driveway. It was their choice to do it via mobile service rather than have me come in, which I could have easily done. Took all of 15 minutes.

lol dealers may be shady but I’ve never heard of one calling a customer to make up a recall just to get you in there and say “oh btw, there is no recall, wanna buy something different?”

Welp, looks like Ford is staying true to its roots and didint delay trying to get the most recalls for an auto maker ever again in 2026 lol
