I just scheduled my HVJB replacement and they are providing a rental IAW the recall documentation. Offered. No fight. Sounds like you need a new dealer?
Its a '23 so not part of the recall (yet). The dealerships I've called have all said they have no loaners. Sounds like they have too many broken cars

Had not considered Turo, but I feel like I would be nervous Ford would fight me since its not an established rental company. I also read through my warranty and it seems I need authorization from an adminstrator to go off and rent a car if I want to be refunded

Sorry to hear of your issues …. The dealer I go to ( and I go out of my way just because they are better with customer service than others near me) always offered enterprise rental even for repairs not covered by recall.
looks like the dealers in your area just think they can get away with bad customer service. They should at least offer a free rental . I don’t see many dealers have enough loaner cars .

I used to be a two car person, but since I’m the only one that drives in the house and it’s just me and my wife, we went down to one car which is the current electric Mustang. If I had to take my car in for 12 weeks or they said it’s gonna be about two months before you get it back, well we would be negotiating a trade at that time and they’re not gonna discount the value of the vehicle because of that warranty work needing done, they’re gonna give me what car is worth. I have to say I’ve probably bought 60 cars in my life and I’ve never been without the same car more than a couple of days unless it was in the shop after an accident and Insurance gave me a free rental. If this is going to be a problem down the road, where you Drive a car for 6 months put it in the shop for one month, that kind of stuff ain’t good and won’t work with me sorry. Only positive side is I’m retired and don’t work so I don’t know when I have to go somewhere but at least I don’t have to have a car to go to work.

Then try calling Ford to get authorization. Honestly don’t know if Turo would be approved but it’s worth a shot.

beats not having a car to drive.
