MY22 hasn't received any OTA updates in almost a year now. ECG-24.2.5.6.1 was the last update I received and ironically it says it was "improves the way your vehicle receives and transmits software" and should result in "more dependable software experience." It seems to have achieved the opposite effect.
Ford Mustang Mach-E No OTA update since update for "more dependable update experience"? PXL_20240923_180712320

Prior to this update I received regular software updates and had received Bluecruise 1.3 earlier in the summer of 2024 so I wasn't too worried about not getting anything at the time. But now, almost a year late, I'm concerned this update completely broke my Mach-E's ability to receive software update.

I also took it in for the HV relay recall last November, so they might have done some software updates then, but that was a couple month after ECG-24.2.5.6.1. I also received the e-mail from Ford about the Google Map enhancements with 10.x while the car was in the shop for the recall.

If I press the greyed out "update now" button, it just instantly tells me that no updates are available, without even searching. It also brings this update history up almost immediately after going into the software update menu. Previous both of these actions would check for updates and take awhile to return a status when it was receiving updates regularly.

Is there anything that I can do to get 10.x and any other updates I've missed over the last year?

I really don't want to take it into a dealership because because it's my only care and I'm afraid they will charge me for them to fix their issue with software updates, but I really would like the latest updates.

Hi Eric
From reading many threads, I've learned that the OTA-dispensing mechanism that Ford uses is similar to.... a bouncer at a night club that lets in whomever he pleases kind of thing. There isn't a rhyme or reason why a production year gets more or less. All of our VIN numbers are standing in front of a stage, watching a Ford employee holding a clipboard, and he chooses VINS somehow. It's an analogy, obviously, but that's how it's been described by those that know more than me.

Unlike in Windows, we can't open System Update and keep pressing the Check Updates button.
We have to wait our turn, and when an update arrives, be grateful and thankful that the clipboard guy chose you.
Just make sure that your car connects to your home WIFI.

This is perfectly normal behavior. Unless you have an OTA trigger being sent to the vehicle when you check for updates, it will always say up to date or show the details of the last OTA update you received.
