Anyone have this happen to them. Placed reservation back on August 30th with "Dealer A" no problems. Now "Dealer B" has come along and bought out "Dealer A" and is taking over their lot.

I received an email today telling me that I am getting refunded the Ford $500 deposit and I do not need to renew the deposit. Last night I checked the status on the Ford website showing production date that I have seen since it was assigned. Now, the order isn't even present in my account anymore like it doesn't exist. "Dealer B" says the order is there and they can see it but my previous history with "Dealer B" is why I went with "Dealer A" in the first place, not the most honest...

Thoughts?

This just happened to me, build date for 1/10 and the dealer was sold off and the new one is not accepting online orders... Freaking out. I really hope this isn't as messy as I'm fearing. Need to check that the new dealer accepts X plan, no ADM, will not add random crap and takes ford options, and hope my order hasn't been canceled or postponed, ugh

So far I had the new dealer confirm all the details and all seems right. The only thing missing on my end now is I have the "Sorry Pump the Brakes" message for the reservation on the Ford Account Website since this occurred. Still checking it but looks like I might not be getting back the tracking information that use to be available for the order on this website. They have refunded the money to my account which they said could take 7-10 business days (about 5 business days in so far) but the Ford Website might take the full 10 business days if it re-updates at all. Then again, it is holiday season...

Did you confirm with the new dealer that they will honor you agreement with the previous one? After a long back and forth with mine they said they do not accept X plan, would be adding an additional $10k in ADM and have not registered for the CA clean air program.... They were hoping to take delivery of the car, spring all this on me and either have me accept on the spot or take the car and sell it off for even more with more markups like an alarm system, fabric protection, paint protection, etc. They're the absolute worst. I spent an hour with Ford Marketing yesterday trying to get them to change dealerships and they said they can't do that from their end and has to be done through the dealership ugh

The sleeziest dealership. They kept saying yeah don't worry we'll figure out the details once the car arrives, we'll take care of you. Pressed to have them send it in writing and that's when they eventually admitted to the above. The worst...

I did ask them resend over the original contract with the new manager and sign it and they obliged. So far all is good but wait and see what we get... Just skeptical based on other situations I have heard about based on the current car market. Nothing to fret now until it is built.
