I'm trying to put in my order. I go through the order screens and it tells me my dealer is a dealer in Ohio. I live in California.

I need to change the dealer *before* I order!

I was doing some inventory searches in various areas to see if I could find a 2022 CR1 RWD at that Ohio dealer. Somehow it's gotten stuck!

There's no button to change the dealer on the order page, only "my dealer".

I have used an entirely different browser (edge vs chrome) so please don't suggest clearing cookies. This is something clearly lodged into my account somewhere! I've not found a single way to have my desired California dealer show up in my order!!!

I've logged in, set my dealer to the one I want (thanks, mach e forum, for talking about my dealers and which are the best! I am confident about my choice of local dealer), I've messed around with new orders, and waiting a bit, and this and that, and.... yes! your order will go to OHIO. Which I don't finalize obviously :).

Hoping Ford reads this. I know they are saddled with their ... unfortunate .... dealer business model and would probably get screams if they put a "change dealer" button but how about respecting my "my dealer" preference? That seems more like a bug.

Or put in Ordering FAQ how to clearly this sticky setting? Or something?

Halp!

Interesting, I just tried to order a MME and the dealer search page just shows no dealers within 250 miles of me in Orange County, CA.

Hilarity:

I tried hitting Ford's "social support" they said I should call an (east coast) phone number to gain assistance on my online order. When I told them I would be really happy explaining to Twitter that Ford only does online orders over the phone, they haven't replied (yet).

Outcome:

After trying many things, my local dealer suggested I should try ordering with my phone, which worked perfectly. I now have an order in.

Look forward to updating my status with my '23 mach e in a few months (maybe many we'll see).

when searching, change the zip code. It remembers it.

Clear the cookies from your browser and then start over again. It will ask you for your zip after that.

That is exactly what you need to do and why it works with your phone and not your computer

Maybe you can set page to Incognito Mode?
that is often a good hack, but not this time.

i think the real thing was (essentially) fresh cookies (which can be done a lot of ways, live incognito, or a new device, or cookie clearing), then *not* logging in, then it gives you a dealer search, then you log in. if you log in first, you get a past dealer, even with the preferred dealer set to something else.

wish Ford would consider that a bug. no way to report bugs tho...

I changed from my original dealer after they informed me that they were going to charge me a $3,000 ADM. I called up Ford and they switched the order to the new dealer I wanted, over the phone.
