Longtime lurker, first-time poster (well, maybe not that long). Bought my new 2023 GT (Rapid Red) exactly a month ago today. I've been lurking here since a little before then, and there's been a lot of good advice and info--thanks for the help you had no idea you were giving me.
I've seen a lot of discussion about OTA update versions, so I thought I'd throw in my experience so far for some more data points. When I first took it home, I checked the update settings (I'm a longtime tech nerd, so yes, I really did check those settings almost right away) and it said it had started an update (4.2.1) I think that it couldn't finish for some reason, but the things it said were added in that update (a game, and something else) were already there so it must have been most of the way done; it eventually said that the update was complete. Then nothing for a while--like a week or two, then an update to 4.2.2, then in pretty quick succession, 4.2.3 and 4.2.4. There were no new features listed, so I checked online (i.e., here--thanks again!) and all of the features that came with those updates had always been in my car, so they must be things that are standard now but had to be OTAed to other owners. I noticed that I still seemed to be behind several updates behind and I started checking around (again here) and figured I was in for a drawn-out trickle of incremental updates. Just today, though, it jumped all the way to 5.1.1. I know the scuttlebutt was that people getting that update were just Early Access members, but I'm not one (I signed up--like I said, tech nerd--but not approved yet). So I guess they're picking up the pace with rolling this one out.
tl;dr: Hi, everyone--thanks for the advice. Ford seems to be casting the 5.1.1 OTA update net a bit farther.
