Octopus IO - car unplugged

As the title, Mach e at home plugged in but the Octopus app showing unplugged and not generating any slots HOWEVER the car is charging obviously at full rate, happened last week and this week, so baring in mind I only charge once a week that’s 100% failure. Deleted car re added still the same, eventually it detects it but several hours later. Spoke to octopus they said no issues and to see how it goes and they will credit me £20 so fair enough but it’s a bit pants

decided to turn Smart Control control off in the octopus app and use the chargers timer set to the off peak hours instead.

anyone else having issues currently?

I could never get it to work with intelligent octopus properly, so once it verified the car, I changed my password on FordPass and it can’t connect anymore.

However I still retain 11:30pm to 5:30am charging at 7p

I have the similar issue now and again. I use the supplied Ford variopower charger plugged into a 32amp commando socket. This means that Octopus use the car and its settings to activate the smart charging. However, as per Octopus T's & C's it ONLY works when you are at "home" which is taken from the car. I don't know about anyone else but sometimes my car is NOT at "home" according to the car even when I am parked in my garage which is attached to my house. I live at No 4 which is my "home" according to Octopus but my car sometimes says it's location is No 6 (next door) or No 3 (across the road). I recommend you use the location button on your FP app to check where you car says it is before plugging in

We have ours controlling the charger (Hypervolt) not the car (we’ve got two EV’s, so wanted the smart charge on both) - works fine that way.

I agree it seems IO integration with a charger works pretty seamlessly unfortunately I don’t have that luxury

Same here. Octopus Intelligent Go is in control of our MyEnergi Zappi charger, and it works really well. Charging both our MME ER AWD and our Smart #1 Brabus. We get charging literally any time of day. The only setting in either car is the max charge. No need to be "home", and we can also charge anyone else'S EV when they drop by. Incidentally, love the Brabus (wife's car), but still have love/hate relationship with the MME

What's your experience like having the smart charging via the Hypervolt?

I've got a Hypervolt too, but currently have the pony set up for the smart charging. Can you easily override the smart charging and have cars manually charging in the 23:30 - 05:30 slot?
