Ok, the weather here in Atlanta is definitely trending toward summer. For the last week or so I'd get into my preconditioned cabin albeit it was hot and the seat heater is on #3 and the heating steering wheel is toasty. So, I finally take a few minutes to change the settings on my Sync 4 system (UI) I think you young
'whipper snappers" (LOL) call it. Well, I search and search on the Multiple Menus and never find it!!! Oh, it used to be there, "back in the day" (LOL).

So, I reluctantly start searching the Ford Pass App and low and behold, I find the setting somewhere and was able to adjust it for the season.

Anywho, for those of us who may be a tad bit older (lets say Born prior to 1970) and don't want to use an App (and to some of you it may come as a shock, but we did not grow up with "mobile" phones and Apps) why is this setting not on the UI? Or is it and I just could not find it? "Please imagine man Old Man shaking his cane at the Sync screen now". Anyway, let me know if my senility was the cause of not finding the setting on the sync screen or am I correct that I "have" to use the App.

Thanks
MME Since July 2021 and going strong, only 2 payments left!!!

They have it in the ui as well, in the charging section under departure times there is a setting on the side for cold/medium/warm that pertains to the time block you are editing.
also check under general, remote start settings as the seats and heated wheel can sometimes get confused when left on auto and the outside temps are in between 60-70

In the vehicle, you pick Auto or Use Last Settings for Remote Start. Departure Times have different settings.

To counter the commentary of times and apps, I’m fairly certain preconditioning was a feature first released in 2011 well after smart phones and apps were under way.

Much of this to say, if you want to go with the “old times” you may want to ditch preconditioning too ?

all of these settings are in the car’s interface too as an FYI.

2 payments left? You must have financed it for 36 months. Great feeling huh? How many miles have you put on it in just under 3 years?

I learned how to drive in ‘68 on a ‘67 mustang… not a convertible though.

I think it was a 5 or 6 year finance, just added $500/month extra every payment. My 1st ride was a '68 coupe!!!! Fond Memories

You forgot to mention which setting you're talking about.

The "preconditioning" that I can change the temperature of the cabin based on departure times. I find it on the app, just not on the UI.
