So we started out with a Jaguar I-pace and added a Mache GT last December. Sold the I-pace and bought a 2nd GT in March. Well, yesterday we traded the 1st GT and brought home this beautiful Mercedes EQE. It's the only one on Maui and one of only
2 in the entire state.
First impressions (after less than a day!):
1. I miss the PAAk already. We use it exclusively on the GT's (flawlessly) and love only carrying a cell phone and no Key Fob or Wallet. Hopefully Mercedes will get on track and bring PAAK to their cars in the near future.
2. The ride is outstanding. No complaints from the backseat going over speed bumps anymore.
3. Rear visibility is quite poor but the cameras are fantastic. 360 degree cameras and you can maneuver them how you like. You can even set them via GPS for particular views when parking so each time you come to that particular spot the camera view pops up and shows you the curb so you (your wife) doesn't scrape the wheels on the curb.
4. Of course it's not as fast as a GT but still has plenty of power - Don't need to go fast here on Maui.
5. It has a hard button in the door for opening the trunk (no Frunk on this one)
6. No rebate because unlike the EQS the EQE is final assembled in Germany.
7. Has a real opening sunroof which my wife loves.
8. Much quieter than the GT and almost no wind noise.
9. Sound system is great although pretty unimportant to us.
10. The active CC is spot on. Car stays directly in lane center and never lost connection even on the Pali where the GT's alway lose signal.
11. Profile screen gave us both a Santa Hat for the holidays!
