How was the reimbursement applied?

they denied me claiming the electrician I hired wasn’t “properly licensed”
Parker electric and they did a fantastic job.

Electricians have to be licensed through Illinois commerce commission to install EVSEs. This was instituted back in 2013. I think it’s mainly for the customer's protection given improper installation can cause a fire. There are hundreds of companies licensed last time I checked.

Got an email from Optiwatt saying they couldn't enroll me " because we already enrolled enough customers with your specific EV model and/or charger. "
Seems odd as I signed up on the same day i received the email

I was enrolled. I have the Tesla universal charger.

One thing I was going to ask here: it appears last night the car charged in 40 minute increments and was idle in 40 minute increments. This must be something optiwatt is doing in the back end. Is this bad for the battery?

I just wanted to bump this again to see if anyone

1) who was enrolled in Optiwatt was experiencing the same charging pattern (i.e. short increments instead of long bloks); and

2) thought the short increments could harm the battery.

I got the "sorry, you're not in the pilot" note shortly after you posted, so unfortunately, I'm not of much help.

I have NOT seen any changes to my charging.

Can’t see how it can harm the battery. It’s annoying for you probably.

I may be experiencing a similar problem. I initially thought it was the on-board charger, but maybe it is Optiwatt? See my related thread:

Ever since I disabled everything in OptiWatt, I've had no issues with departure times.
