Order bank opens on the 27th?

I have never ordered a new car before. Bought many off the lot but not ordered. Everything I read on the forum, and my dealership says that I can order on the 27th but other that Ice White nothing new to report. What about these new colors like Eruption Green or Oil Slick Blue? Will the EV get those options? I called Ford and they said they have promotional materials coming our in October. Should I wait, be prepared to cancel and reorder or just go for it on the 27th? And do you think Ice White will have an option of a black interior.....I have a husband and I would really hate to lose him over staining my white interior.

You'll have a little time to chnage your color when you finalize the order with the dealer.

I've never ordered a car online either, at first I was hesitant but I like the idea and it looks like that's the way things are heading. The old-school sales tactics need to be gone for good, and Ford is taking steps (albeit baby-sized) towards a better purchasing experience.

I say baby-sized steps because there is a lot of room for improvement. It seems like every dealer handles orders in different ways, and there is a lot of contradicting information online. If orders placed prior to 9/27 will automatically change to a 2022 model, why did they close the ordering for 21 and have a start date for ordering a 22? If the window for ordering a 21 closed on 9/3 why did they leave the option to order one up on the Ford website? Ford really should have come forward with an explanation on the ordering process.

I'm really surprised that there hasn't been any leaks about the 2022 MME. Not even colors...the Bronco and Mustang ICE both have had leaks about colors. I'm just going to wait for the 27th to place my order. If there are new color options available on that day, that's great, maybe I'll like one of them.

The ice white package is a set combination of star white exterior with light gray interior. There are a few added cosmetic changes like adding white to various parts of the interior and exterior (white ponies on the front, back, and steering wheel, etc). It's only available in the premium trim and only available with a light gray interior.

If you want a black interior, you can still get a premium trim with star white exterior and black interior. It just won't be the ice edition.
