Not really. There are quite a few dealers where loaners are never available for any reason, regardless of CSP/Recall or warranty language.
The dealership experience in the US seems to be quite a bit different than up in Canada. Don't get me wrong, you definitely need to carefully select your servicing dealer here too, but generally speaking I hear a lot of rough stories from the US.

I don't know, maybe it's a Canadian dealership thing but between Chevrolet, Audi, Nissan, and Ford I've never had any issues getting wheels during a service if it went beyond a day. Of course....Audi goes above and beyond....they don't shuttle you anywhere even for a one day service...they just give you a car for the day to drive and "keep you mobile" as they say.

I live on an island, my experiences with dealers here is probably not representative of the real United States. I wouldn’t give you a red cent for the whole lot of them here, and I include Tesla’s non-dealer service in that batch.

Yeah, there are no ICE vehicles in the service bays of any dealerships. Nor are there any tow trucks that ever have ICE vehicles on the hook.

Friends without EV's are still friends, of course. But their opinions carry less weight. I know, because I used to be one of them. And it wasn't that long ago.

Crow taste like chicken, it turns out.
I don't mind eating it.
I am glad my friends Hekle and Jekle were not crows.

UPDATE: June 4th, 2024 (Day 17)

My Mach-E is still at the dealer being repaired. A representative from Ford calls me every weekday (and always mentions that they record the call). The news is usually the same - the dealer cannot provide an ETA but they promise that they are working on it. Any complaints about the long wait are not well received. The representatives tell me that they can only relay the dealer's progress and that have no ability to speed up the repair.

I can use my FordPass app to see my vehicle's location. My vehicle spent about a week parked on a public street near the dealer before being moved onto the property. It now seems to be parked inside the dealer's shop. The main battery has drained 3% in the 17 days since the vehicle was removed from my possession and towed to the dealer. It has not been charged at the dealer.

I get regular notifications from my app the there is an electrical drain on the system and that the low-voltage battery is low. I mentioned this to the Ford representative about a week ago and the dealer now says they will have to replace the low-voltage battery. I already had an appointment to do the HVJB recall on May 29th - I am optimistic that they will complete that work before returning the vehicle to me.

I still have a rental car. Ford says they will reimburse a portion of the rental car's cost after I provide receipts. I call the rental car company every few days and extend the rental because I do not have a timeline to get my Mach-E back.

Overall this is an incredibly frustrating experience. I lost the ability to drive my car due to Ford's action and now I feel like I don't have any ability to affect the process to get this issue resolved. The slow timeline is probably due to a lack of priority, but I'm beginning to wonder if there is something more fundamentally wrong with my car. Why did this happen in the first place? What is causing this new and persistent electrical drain? If the dealer cannot figure this out, will this issue happen again?

Hopefully my next update is that the car is fixed and returned to me.

Looks like the OTA may have fried the IPC. It looks like they fixed it, though. Vehicle history shows a successful PMI on the IPC at 2:10pm yesterday. They did some updates today related to a recall which your car has open under the VIN. I think you'll get a call tomorrow that it is ready to be picked up.

Thanks a ton for your insights.
