Overcharged... car drove 18 miles before dropping to 99%

My Ford Pass charger settings jammed up again and charged car to 100% against my desires. I charge to 80 or 90 daily. I deleted the saved charge location and re-added it which fixed the issue going forward.

What was interesting is that I drove 18 miles on a 50 degree unusually warm NJ early morning until it dropped 1 percent to 99% charge. I did NOT have single pedal driving active because to I tend to hypermile and coast to lights and such. Just a strange observation. No heat/air were on at the time.

Normal post-charging BMS drift as it learns. This can happen after charging to a higher % than the battery pack has experienced recently.

By the way, my car also inexplicably charged to 100% last night, and I also go all the way to work (7 miles) with it not dropping below 100%.

Obd scanners will tell you actual state of charge vs displayed state of charge. Mine at 100% displayed is usually 93-94% actual. The displayed charge sometimes won’t change for 25-30 miles for me

Also, any time you're braking you're getting some regen, 1-pd drive or not. I get some stellar numbers on the way home from work, apparently it's mostly downhill, but that's balanced out by the morning drive.

My iPhone battery charge display works pretty much the same way. I don't believe it either.

18 plus months and 2 winters behind me, this is normal, the clue was "unusual warm day". After cold shifts the car keeps thinking cold range before getting outside Temps corrections. Welcome to EV range fun.
