I applaud the adoption of Ford in the use of protocol J5118, i.e. Plug & Charge akin to Tesla's proprietary "click & charge"... once I worked out the kinks of initial FordPass signing up and initialization of Connected Services ,everything ... I mean every time I plugged into any of the Electrify America's dcFast chargers I was immediately recognized and charging promptly commenced, truly impressive from NJ, to PA, to DE and also in MD.
Alternatively, the Electrify America's app also worked extremely well, i.e. I signed up for the membership, downloaded the app and added to iPhone's "wallet" and every time I tapped it was instantaneously recognized and charging sessions initiated without any fault whatsoever.
BUT ... why can't Ford's Plug&Charge be integrated into the Electrify America's membership app ??? What I mean, is if you use the convenient Ford's "Plug & Charge" the Electrify America's preferred membership rates are negated!
Am I missing something here? Why can't we have the convenience of Ford's"Plug & Charge" integrated (or married) into the Electrify America's preferred membership rates? As far I am concerned, there is only one and only one way to charge Mach-e during long road trips, i.e. you must use the convenience of Electrify America's dcFast chargers specially the hard to find 350 kW ones, which is beyond awesome in its turn around charging time.

Eventually Ford will figure this out and fix it. FWIW I tried to bring it up last summer during the excellent engineering presentations and Q&A's last summer, but the moderator ignored the question and didn't pass it along. Ford has finally figured out that people might want to pay 35% less for charging, and supposedly is working on it.
