Phone as a Key Android Failure - Error Code 11: Device Key Corrupted

Hello All,

I was curious if any Android users came across this error when attempting to setup PaaK: "Device Key Corrupted: Error Code 11". Couple questions I have are:

1) When you received this error, what was the reason you were setting up your key?
2) Do you recall what might have changed on phone or vehicle prior to receiving the error?
3) How did you resolve the error?
4) Did you get through key setup?

I've seen this happen when Ford updates their app, which I think they just did on Android. 5.3.2 was rolled out on iOS recently but we just got it in the Play store in early August. So that could be the culprit.

Couple of things...first, did you open the Ford Pass app and go through the tutorial on 5.3? I've found that sometimes that will stop PAAK from working and ran in to that earlier today. Once I went through their tutorial, it worked again.

But assuming it's corrupt, you should remove the key using the Settings menu in the app, delete the app, then set it up again. Deleting the app is super important, as I've found that if you don't, it seems to cache the old key and won't let you fix the one that's broken.

I would also suggest rebooting your phone in between attempts.
