That being said, it's not a solution, it's just a temp work around to get you in the car and get it started. It will come back next cycle.

I have the Pixel. Before approaching the car, I will turn off bluetooth via the quick links at the top pf my phone. Wait a few seconds then turn it back on, then approach the car and it works. Ok so turning Bluetooth on and off helped for couple of weeks, but now it is not helping. I am really surprised, that android auto works over Bluetooth, but the car is saying no phone detected..Yes I have pixel 7, and first thing i do is to turn off Bluetooth and then immediately turn it back on in your phone.
If this does not fix it then I restart phone and then power cycle sync with volume down button and the track forward button for 5 sec.
If that does not work then you may have to delete the PAAK, reset PAAk data in the car and then reconnect. Hopefully this helps

And how do I delete PAAk? Will it loose my wife's phone?
