The FOB has one job, and it is designed for that one job. That is why it is so reliable.
Your phone is designed to do lots of different things in lots of different ways, with whatever implementation of bluetooth/APIs/who-knows-what-else that your phone maker decided on. I can barely get a phone to link to a wireless speaker without several minutes of frustration and multiple attempts. Avoid PAAK.
