Does anyone else have trouble with their phone(s) connecting when you have two people in the car that have the app?

I always have 2 phones in the car connected. (1 person)

Depending on circumstances, I might have to go to the "Phone List" and edit which device plays which role. But that usually becomes I am wanting to do something differently than the last time I was in the car.

Example, I might have been using one phone for streaming from Spotify, and now want to listen to Audible on the other device.
Since Sync4 offers the single button labeled "Media" for both streaming apps, I have to use "Phone List" to switch which device is the streamer.

Thank you Snakebitten--that is exactly what I try to do, but sometimes when we both get in the car and attempt to sort it out through the "phone list" it does not connect to either of us. By reading the threds, I see that it is going to try to link with the driver so I should try to connect the phone associated with the driver and see if that works.

I might be misunderstanding, but connecting via Bluetooth to both phones shouldn't require any effort on your part after the phones have successfully paired once.
That part should be automatic.

However, I don't think the vehicle can know which phone should be "Primary". And certainly it wouldn't know which seat the phone owner is sitting in.

It will definitely allow both phones to be enabled as calling devices, while it only allows one or the other to be a media device or Android Auto/Car Play source.

I don't recall what the determing factor is for which phone is "Primary" if both are enabled as phones. (calling devices)

I'm sure someone will pipe in regarding.

If all else fails, I just plug the phone that we want connected to the car in.

I _think_ that AndroidAuto / CarPlay will automatically launch based on either:
* what device unlocked the car
* what device was last connected

The only problem I have with having 2 phones in the car, if one phone is acting as a AndoidAuto/CarPlay, _all_ other bluetooth devices get disconnected. You have to go to the phone list and connect desired devices to bluetooth, which, of course, kills your projection.
