Hey Guys
Mach Et 2025 select RWD.
I have connection problems with wireless android auto and my Pixel 10 android phone, both the Mach E and the Pixel 10 Pro are on latest update. It started 2-3 months ago, it just doesn't connect and shows me Error Connecting Wireless Android auto on the Mach e. IT retries every 2-3 minutes and pops error. If I connect USB c cable it works (takes a while though sometimes from 1-2 minutes).
Probably after an Android OS update but not sure.

Tried disconnecting, everything, reconnecting
Forget device and repair Bluetooth to car (it would work 1-3 days then back to error).
Reinstall Ford app.
Play with some Android auto settings on my phone

Nothing works, it used to work fine 2 months after I got the car (Jan 2026), then stopped.

Did it happen to you , is it common?
Thanks

Maybe try uninstalling /reinstalling the updates to Android Auto on your phone? I have a Pixel 10 Pro XL for a few months, and it's been generally fine, same at the 8 Pro I was using.

There was a TSB a while ago with a remedy of Ford updating a bunch of the modules that deal with Android auto and wireless carplay. Your car sounds like it's too new for that, but a 26 should still be under warranty. I would get it to the dealer and describe the problem, they'll probably update everything for you to try and solve the problem. When that doesn't work then they'll actually look to see what the real problem is. You might have a bad wireless module.

As a data point, wife and I both have Pixel 10's that work well in our 2023 MME and 2024 Lightning.

Did you reboot the phone? I haven't had problems for a few years now, but back when I did that usually resolved it.

Is your phone in power save mode, what percent is your battery at when you have issues (phone maybe auto turning on power save mode at 50%). If device is set to auto sleep it could also cause it not to wake. Ford app may be set to aggressively shut it down when not in use (battery optimization settings). I set mine to be allowed to run I the background. All other settings above are disabled. I don't have a pixel but an android device, which had issues for the first month till I got annoyed enough to disable them.

this definitely isn't normal - i have a pixel 10 as well and no issues with Android Auto in general.

if you use a VPN definitely check that it allows AA.

also, there are situations where local RF interference can cause connection issues. have you tried to connect AA in a different location? you note that it started a couple months ago so someone might have installed some RF transmitting gear that causes issues.

I think it was a mix of phone being off when I start car (I make sure it's on) and Tailscale was on (kinda like a VPN)... Now it works thanks guys!

Nothing works anymore. Glad I have a key fob because phones don't work. There's got to be a better car. No wonder Ford's EV sales are tanking.
