My Premium 4X came in on Wednesday, a full week earlier than the Ford site listed.
Test drove it on Friday, my first test drive of an MME. Very nice ride indeed!
I needed a day to get the down payment arranged so finalized the deal yesterday and brought Mr. Ed (it is a talking horse after all) home.
We live 17 miles from the dealer and I took a short trip on the freeway just to test it out. I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised by how much I like this thing!
I have always been a motorhead and horsepower junky, and I have a late model Porsche 911, so the bar is set pretty high for any vehicle to impress me. I knew the MME was capable of a 0-60 time close to the 911, and there is no doubt that is accurate. I absolutely love the one pedal mode! Just makes it so easy and took less than a minute for me to feel very comfortable with it. I do not find the ride bouncy as some have mentioned. I have not heard the display buzzing, but to be fair, I have a lot of hearing loss but nothing noticeable even with my hearing aids in. Maybe it is at a frequency I just don't receive anymore! LOL
I have to thank everyone that posts here for all the great information and real world experience. I ordered back in February, and have been reading and studying this model ever since. I knew exactly what issues to look for and what quirks I might run into.
My front roof line fit is good, no wind noise. Phone as a Key took a couple of tries for my phone, but my wife's connected first time. We just got them a couple of weeks ago, and they are identical, but go figure... I already cut the tops off the frunk center divider retainer, so it pulls out for more space.
I already applied for a $1,000 rebate from my electric company, and ordered a JuiceBox 40 wall charger from them with a $250 discount.
I put in a 14-50 outlet that I use for my air compressor and I knew would work for the MME too. Unfortunately, it is on the wrong side for the MME port. It was fine if I back in, but the wife will be the daily driver and she will NOT be backing in every day. So, I had to get hillbilly creative until I get the wall charger and have time to install it in a more convenient location...

I think the MME will take the 911 off the line, but not for long. The 911 obviously can corner better, but I am pleasantly surprised that the MME is a lot more nimble than I imagined considering it's weight. The 911 has a top speed of 186 mph, so no competition there! But $2 for electricity to go 100 miles compared to $16 in premium fuel is the main reason I got the MME.

And lastly: "Oooohhh, nice All Electric wannbe Mustang!", said no hot chick, ever... LOL

Congrats, but now I have the Mr. Ed theme song stuck in my head!!
Sorry about that!
At least you know what it is, I had to explain it to the finance guy at the dealership, and he must have been in his late 30's.
