Possibly damaged passenger folding mirror mechanism?

I just noticed this on my vehicle, the motor makes a very loud whirring and buzzing sound whenever I press the fold mirror button or if I have it set to auto fold.

I tired "resetting" it manually, following guides mentioned in this forum and Ford's website/manual but nothing seems to work.


Is there something I'm doing wrong? Also would this be something that Ford covers under warranty?
