Ford Mustang Mach-E Potential frunk mod? IMG_8250

Don’t know if this has already been suggested before, but has anyone considered putting those hooks to use in the frunk for something like this?

Basically, just a little bit of space between the items being stored in the frunk and the back wall. Maybe a little compartment in that space to put some water or ice to reduce the amount of heat being transferred from that wall onto the items being stored in the trunk? Probably won’t amount to much, but based on my limited testing, it seems like anything might be an improvement over just putting stuff right up against that wall. Even without this mod, just putting stuff on the passenger side seems to keep things a little, as much of the heat seems to be coming from the upper portion of the drivers side.

Using the hooks in the frunk would allow this cooling section to be easily removed when we want to reclaim the full storage capacity.

What do you think?

Alternate, slimmer design:

Those are actually FITS tether points, so if you have a 3D printer You can create exactly what you drew there (probably require a few prints to connect unless you have an industrial one).

The specifications for the tether points are here: https://www.ford.com/support/how-to...rinting-to-customize-my-ford-maverick-pickup/

Etsy has a whole dedicated section for that tether

Neat, yeah forgot what it was called. Don’t have a 3D printer, probably will test my idea cutting some scrap plastics and see how it goes.
