Don't the 2021 Job 1s need a BCM update as well? Did that come earlier in the 6.x series?
There has never been a BCM OTA before, so I'm curious how that will work. Maybe only people that have gotten the BCM update previously at the dealer as part of 21P22 will get the frunk OTA?

I would like for there to be a BCM OTA, but they seem to avoid that one.

Opening frunk remotely? Meaning unlocking it so it can be manually opened? What's new? Or the whole thread is a joke I didn't get?

Yeah, it's more of an unlatching the frunk remotely than opening it. Unless you consider being ajar the same as being open. ?‍♂?

I mean technically it’s still “open” - a door cracked open is still an open door “technically” ?

A power-lift frunk would be cool nonetheless.

Keep driving... They're coming soon hopefully. My car got an unnamed diagnostics update, then 6.2.1, then 6.3.0 a few days ago in rapid succession.
Will driving my car help with getting updates? I haven’t driven my car in weeks. I’ve turned it on a few times in the garage hoping for an update but it’s still 6.1.0 from October.

The recent three updates are VERY recent, like a few days ago. Ford usually rolls out OTAs slowly.

That said, yes, driving your car helps with getting updates because larger updates can download and begin the installation process while you're driving, since the car is on and keeping the 12V well charged up.

Turning it ON and keeping it on for 30 minutes or so in your garage probably also works, assuming you get decent AT&T signal in there.

Yes, you won't get updates installed if your car is parked. Strongly recommend driving it minimum 30 minutes per week. However if Ford hasn't made updates available to you yet, they can't install no matter what you do.

I guess it constitutes the difference between B&E and just E...? ??

Perhaps they're worried about it becoming a Body out-of-Control Module...?

Probably, BCM is dicey because if an update bricks it, the car doesn't turn on anymore and therefore can't accept programming. BCM replacement is the only fix.

Kinda like programming Voyager - well except that BCM replacement would literally be out of this world solar system.

The @Jimrpa update!

So close but yet so far for those of us with Job 1s that just received 6.2.1.

I just added this one to the poll.

For anyone wondering, the BCM ensures safety, testing, and control of crucial electrical loads, including lights, immobilizers, air conditioning systems, locking systems, and windscreen wipers.

Simply put, if the BCM bricks, your car is now a paperweight.

The updates continue to roll out. Not sure about the notes as I thought I had that feature already.
Out of curiosity, did you get the 23-PU1103-NAT-VCE update too?
