Pre-collision malfunction, all cruise control broke?

So we've had a Pre-Collision malfunction for several months and will eventually take it in to get looked at but for some dumb reason, it disables ALL cruise control. Even the simple speed lock, cruise control we've enjoyed since the 70s. What the heck? I get not being able to use adaptive cruise, but I just want to set a speed on the highway.

Anybody know of a trick to enable the basic cruise? I have it set in the settings but the cruise set button doesnt do anything.

You may be able to turn off Adaptive Cruise in the Driver Aids section of Sync and in theory that should allow you to use basic cruise when the Front Camera and Pre-collision Assist faults occur.

BTW.....your symptom is becoming very common. There are several of us that are experiencing this issue. Some have had hardware replaced and still didn't correct the issue. Others (like myself) had software updated and it worked for a week or so but then the symptom came back.

Yep. That’s set. The previous firmware would give a sound indicating it wont activate when I would attempt to set it but now I get no response. Just.…nothing. Why would this be inactive??

Not sure.
I tried it today and the Normal setting worked just like a basic cruise control. Not sure why it isn't working on your car. Weird. ?

You need an IPMA update and probably a few other updates too. The older software on your vehicle might not let you do what Greg can.
