Hello,

So I purchased a pre-owned Mach E this past Thursday and scheduled a service apointment to have 21p22 done to fix the charging curve and from what I gather my cars Sync Revision is 168 which I believe is 1.7? Is there anything the dealer needs to do to enable OTAs or am I just waiting for Ford to push one?

I setup the Scriptable widget and my OTA data there shows “cancelled” for 2.3

Expanded Apple CarPlay is something I really want.

Unrelated but the day I bought the car everything worked fine but starting the new day, Auto Unlock of the driver door seems to not be working which I searched and believe is related to SSM 49676?

Off the top of my head I don't know the sync version numbers, but you can more or less tell by the apps.

If you have "notes" then it got power up 1.7.1.

There's nothing the car needs to activate OTA. 2.3 was the most recent one and that just got pushed a couple weeks ago. Your car may have just missed it because it was not being driven (I'm assuming it was on a dealer lot or something). It'll try again though ?

As far as unlocking.. I'm assuming this is with Paak?
If so yeah have the dealer install any updates they can (some updates were made available to help with Paak, but were not pushed OTA). Also. Phone as a key is not 100% every time even at it's best. For me it's close, but it usually takes a second to recognize my phone. In rare cases I have to turn on my phone's screen. No need to unlock the phone, just turning on the screen is enough usually

Also, congrats!

The unlocking issue happens with Paak & key fob on me. The welcome lighting comes on but the driver door won't open, if I then trying open the rear driver side door, both that door and the driver door opens so it's definitely a software bug.

I previously have owned a Model Y & an ID.4 and so far apart from this unlocking bug, the charging curve sucking (which 21p22 will correct) and the small CarPlay (which 2.3 will correct if I can get it), I really like the Mach E.

Can dealers now manually install PowerUp 2.3? I have an appointment this week for 21p22.

Not necessarily. If it happens every time it could be hardware related. Each door has it's own antenna for the key or your phone. So if it's hardware related, it could be a bad module in the driver's door. So the back door opens just fine independent of the front. Once one door is opened, any door can be freely opened.

That said if it's an intermittent issue it may not be hardware

Yes. Though if you ask for power up 2.3.0 it's likely they won't have any idea what you're talking about. In the dealer's system they don't show up as "power ups". It's just added to the list of modules that needs an update. So ask them to do all the module updates and that should take care of it for you.

There is an SSM or TSB to address the "rear door first" issue. Just needs a module update.

I believe 21P22 will do the same update - it updates every door module.

21P22 will make a huge difference is the charging curve, especially above 80%. After updating mine with FDRS I am getting 35-40 kWh from 80%-95% then is drops to 25 kWh and tapers down to 10 KWh as it approaches 100%.

Are you able to use plug and charge for Electrify America? Mine does not show up and I believe its connected to someone else's ford account/unique ID for Ford Pass.

If you do a master reset in the car, it will disconnect any Ford Pass accounts associated with the car. Associated connected services (such as plug and charge) will be cancelled 48 hours after the reset, if they do not reactivate

This is an email I got shortly after a master reset I did a while back

Thanks. I'll give that a try. I've been in contact with Ford for over 6 months trying to get this resolved.
