Not sure this affects us.

It’s talking about Union Pacific planning on cutting back service on some chemical providers.

If anything, that’s good news for everyone else who isn’t a chemical provider and shipping using Union Pacific.

Did I miss something?
It took 45 days for my car to get to S. FL. I spoke to the rail yard boss in KC MO about a month ago and he said things were getting backed up and they were short on rail crews. This is reiterated in this article and I know it never took this long to get vehicles to FL from that plant in Mexico as my dad had 2 MKZ's that only took 2 weeks to get here about 4 years ago. Even the local trucking logistics is bad here in S. FL. as my car sat in the MIA yard for almost 2 weeks.

Here is the cause of our long delays....rail service is going from bad to worse
Lots of things are going from bad to worse. I'm not seeing much of anything get better, so far.

Welcome to our brave, new world!

I don’t think they get to Florida by train.

It’s Mexico to Kansas by train, then trucks from there unless something changed in the last few months.

And yes, the trucking companies (like everything) are way backed up and slower than pre-COVID.

I was told by Ford chat that it was in Jacksonville rail yard...then CSX/FEC to MIA...trucked from there around S. FL. I actually printed out and sent the United Road pickup receipt from the MIA rail yard and alerted my dealer it was expected that day.

Believe me, this affects everything. I will not give my opinion because the eye in the sky is always watching… ?

The governor of Texas is also responsible for the rail delays by closing the border to Mexico
Most of the rail lines from Mexico are now backed up as shippers transferred products to railroads rather than risk the road nonsense at the border which is destroying our ability to compete and it’s only been done for political purposes I hate to say this here but that’s one of the things affecting our delivery those vehicles are coming from Mexico

You can find instances of it if you look at Texas websites all over the border
