I am in the same boat (and few others) cars held up at Railyard.First off, thank the gods for this community, or I'd seriously think my Dealership was F-in with me lol...
Reservation: 5/9/21
Production: 10/21
First Est. Delivery: 11/23-11/29
Second Est. Delivery: 12/21-12/27
On 11/23 (first day of the window and my excitement is already through the roof about any Ford email..) I received an email from Ford saying the delivery date had been changed to 12/21-12/27 (Current Status). I called up the dealership and they stated it shouldn't take that long as the car was at the Railyard (I'm in CO so I'm not sure which Railyard he is referring to). They told me that they will mark it "Hot" and try to get it priority delivered to their lot.
Today (12/13) I received a call from the sales rep saying that the car is being held up for "Quality Control" and that the car won't be released until someone at Ford is able to check the car. He said he tried to Hot Tag the car a few times but isn't getting much response. I asked if 12/21-12/27 was still a realistic time frame and he said he is just not sure.
Reading through the thread here it doesn't seem to be a specific rhyme or reason to hold ups and timing on resolve seems to be all over the place. Unfortunately i only bring another example of the issue. One of my bigger disappointments is going to be missing out on the Tax Credit if the order goes into 2022...
Hoping you all get yours soon! Will follow up with dates and potential resolves if I hear or see anything.
My expected date is 12/17-12-23 however I know there is a hold on the car.
Why do you think we miss out on tax credit going in to 2022.
Ford has NOT built enough cars to stop qualifying for the credit.
NOTE: Even if they count cars built in 2022 (against 200K quota), I would think credits are given in the order of date in service so we should be first in line even for 2022 tax year.
There is some discussion about car classification (SUV vs. station wagon etc.) and MSRP in the new bill being worked on...
I seriously doubt Mach-e will NOT qualify for EV credit.
At least in my case MSRP is below 55K.
