12V failure at Kansas City shipping yard

I was informed yesterday by my dealer that my car is stuck at the Kansas City shipping yard with a dead 12V battery and Ford is working to get it replaced so it can be moved onto a cargo truck for transport (I'm only 3 hours from KC). Has anyone else had this happen to them which caused a delay? If so what should I expect.

Yes, others have had this happen. The best fix is for them is to put a battery tender on it to charge the battery, or use another vehicle / tow truck. A new 12V battery is usually not necessary to get it moving so that they can get it to a dealer to properly diagnose.
