How. Wish you could see the Vin #’s!!! I have been stuck with no information since the shipped email 11/30. Hoping one of those star white’s is coming to NY!!!
I hope so for you too. In a perfect world I’d have been able to show up at the gate with a case of beer for the workers there in exchange for letting me scribble down the VINs, but there were camera surveillance signs posted everywhere! ;-)

Congratulations, wait was worth it!.
This color does look beautiful (Black cladding and roofline).
What was the total wait after it was dropped off at the railyard.
I realize the timing depends on how quickly they can get someone to see the car....

We just figured it out - got to rail yard 10/21 & notified 12/8. Almost 7 weeks. A grand total of 27 weeks.
Dealer told us the car is assembled from pre-made parts in 2 days (the Mexican factory).

I told him this is unacceptable, and Ford needs to contact me. He said he'd pass that on, but as of yet (2 days later) no response from Ford or through the dealership to me.
So I finally got a response from Ford.

What had happened was that the vehicle was shipped to the United States from Mexico and upon arrival to the sorting facility it was necessary to send the vehicle back to the plant for quality assurance re-work. This maintenance is being done at the Roush Facility here in Michigan, not the Cuautitlan plant in Mexico, to expedite the process for you. Unfortunately, we do not have an exact time table for as to when the quality checks will be completed
Very disappointing but thought I‘d share since those of you with similar build and delivery dates to Kansas City (9/10 and 9/22 respectively) and delivery to the Northwest may be in the same situation.

Ouch! I am here in Boston area waiting for the car.
It is marked sold (you can't trace it any more), dealer does not have much insight.

Mistakes happen but this is costly one to customers.
- We will get model year car 2021 into 2022.
- Federal rebate will be delayed by a year (I hope it doesn't disappear by the time 2023 filing season).
- In this tough buyer market not easy to workaround (car rental etc.) to fill the few months delay.
- Some people waited months and months for original order while other who ordered later will get a car before them.

Ford really needs to compensate customers for the above.

I have had exactly the same issue near Pittsburgh. The car supposedly was shipped in early October. The delivery date was pushed back multiple times. Now the Ford website says the car has been delivered. The dealer says is has not, but rather is being held at a rail yard in Ohio pending an undefined quality control fix. Ford has not said a thing, not one email or anything. And the dealer seems to be mostly flying in the dark too. This really is awful customer service. And yes, with the tax credit being pushed into 2022, this is not an issue without a real cost.

Looks like my MME, a dealer ordered, customer reserved Select AWD may be stuck in the same QC rail yard hold limbo.
per Ford,
Ordered 4/10
Production: 7/24
Built: 9/27
Delivered to Argentine Ramp: 10/12 (per Palsapp)
Shipped::
12/18, Called dealer told it was at train yard:
Original deliver estimate:12/20 (missed)
Updated delivery estimate: 12/24
12/27 Ford app shows Delivered on 12/22
Actual whereabouts: unknown per dealer as of 12/27

Anyone have a lead with Ford Corporate? My sales rep is very nice but hadn’t been able to provide any info. The Ford Customer Service reps are also in the dark.

As this Select doesn’t have the Tech packages, I’m tempted to place another order for a ‘22 that does…If I miss the 2021 tax benefits I might as well get Blue Cruise, right? Or, is it not worth it?

The Ford guy my dealer got to email me is ghosting me so no dice there.

The people who know what’s up have no voice, the ones that you can talk to have no information, its the essential quagmire of a bureaucracy. Want to know why Tesla will win and Ford will lose? Stupid business practices like this. Livid prospective customers who are given no choice but to vote with their dollars.

As for blue cruise, it depends on your driving habits, and your attitude about driver assistance tech. Sounds like you‘re positive about it so it seems you’d appreciate it?

Wow, sorry to hear that even your inside sources have ghosted. This does not bode well for Ford, although I seem to recall another EV manufacturer being obtuse about design issues in their early days….

You are spot on…from all reports by reviewers and owners, Ford has hit a home run with the MME. Yet, the legacy automaker bureaucracy and corporate culture is undermining their lead and good will by not treating customers with respect and transparency around the production and delivery process.

Funny you mention Tesla, I have a friend getting a M3 in the next couple of weeks. I test drove one a couple of weeks ago and I have to say it was a very nice ride, purpose built to optimize technology and the EV experience. I still prefer the MME dash design better, but the M3 value proposition (resale value + proven ops - servicing issues) is hard to beat.

I am intrigued by ADAS systems (I work in transportation) like Blue Cruise, but I rarely road trip right now and the intelligent cruise control seems quite good so it’s not a must have if I can get behind the steering wheel by Friday.

I just want to know when my car will arrive!

At least Ford has updated their website from saying that my MMEGT has been delivered to the dealer to “Delivery Date TBD”. Completion of car was September 25 btw. 90 days + for delivery. Misssed tax credit For 2021. Will get a 2021 model well into 2022. And no communication at all from Ford. Absolutely horrendous customer relations from Ford. Almost a business school model for having a good product but completely messing it up with bad/no communication.

Anybody think a class action suit is valid here?

Anyone good with social media and press should push this.
Only from a negative PR will Ford respond.
For a 50K+ car it is horrendous to not update customer on where abouts of the car or delivery timing.
BTW: I keep getting emails from Ford indicating I have the car, so does Sirrus XM.

Not good enough with social media. But definitely time for the shame game. Not sure they will care though?
