Hey everyone...New Mach-E owner here and I'm absolutely loving it so far. I have been on the hunt for rain guards since purchasing my Mach-E and have had no luck, especially since I'm looking for in-channel rain guards. I see the out-channel ones everywhere, but for the life of me cannot fine the in-channel. Usually Weather Tech is my go to for these, but they don't have any at all for the Mach-E and everything I'm seeing on the usual spots are all out-channel. I'm starting to think this is for a mechanical issues associated with this specific car. If I don't have a choice, I'll get the out-channel, but thought I'd come here to the experts first.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

WeatherTech has pretty much ignored the Mach-e since launch. Go check out @AOSK and EV-vida.com and see if they have something that might work for you.

Yeah, doesn't appear to be any in channel available I have an out Channel but couldn't be happier with its Sleek streamlined design and they function well. In my opinion, very well made

We have the ones that are held on with tape and they look great, but have recently come loose in a couple of spots. We've had them for more than a year.

Like you I've preferred the in-channel Weather Tech style in past cars, and recently bought a MME, but hadn't gotten to this yet. Thanks for making me look today :)

I see two brands offering in-channel, Climair and Heko. Climair looks to mount like my previous Weather Techs, while Heko adds some metal clips you push into the channel.

Here's a Heko install to see the difference:

I'm not finding the Climair in the US, but it can be shipped from their UK site, about $120 plus another $100 for shipping to me. Heko is available on eBay in the US for $90, shipping included.

I haven't seen anyone here with Climair, but @21st Century Pony looks to have the Heko. Martin, how are you liking these? Recommended? Any added wind noise on the highway?

So ClimAir appeared to have gone out of business, per a German member here. Perhaps they are back now.

I really like(d) the Heko. FYI - as with three other lines of cars, from Toyota Prius to Ford Fusion and Ford Mach E, the rear wondow wind deflectors practically always fall out eventually when the windows are open while driving. IMHO it's because modern rear window glass has a shape with their vertical edges mostly parallel or, even worse, wider at the bottom of the window... thus the rear window wind deflectors can only hang in there thru top channel tension. It seems no matter how many tension clips the manufacturer adds, the wind pressure eventually makes these rear wind deflectors slip out and sail "bye bye" on the highway.

So it was eventually with the Hekos. Otherwise, they are well-made for the job.

Any noticable wind noise increase?

There was some slight wind noise increase in absolute terms. It was so benign that it was almost not noticeable.

However, the main reason I had gotten these wind deflectors was to crack open the windows on the Mach E during sweltering Summer weather, almost unnoticeably. In that, these wind deflectors excel.
