I remember when I was impulse purchasing the GTPE off of the showroom floor on a Friday evening, a salesman walked by and said "you are going to love it. And isn't it awesome that your range is 300 miles?"

I smiled and said something like "thanks, that sounds great"

Honestly, I didn't know that much about the specs other than the GTPE would likely be the funnest version of the Mach-E, and at the expense of range. Coming from a Nissan Leaf that I had zero complaints with, I just knew the GTPE was going to be a LEAP in almost every aspect.

It'll be the 1 year anniversary 3 Friday evenings from today. ?
It's hilarious to me that it's the salesmen who believe their customers can drive the Mach-E 300 miles on a charge. Fortunately I wasn't disappointed or miffed that he was telling me false information.

Just checked our GTPE. 100% 257mi. Charged in a heated garage approx 60 degrees. However, from experience I know that I will never see that range, and when a trip is inputed into the nav the range drops drastically.

Another factor is how much you use climate control. I don't use it often, but my GOM drops quick after I turn the heat on.

Another weirdness for people coming to EVs is that the range is greater in the city than on the highway. Just the opposite of gas cars. This is because of lower speed and regular regen.
This. On a nice calm, warm day, driving on 35/45mph road at those speeds, the sips energy.

The big question you have to ask yourself about cold weather range loss is: does it matter (for you personally)?

If not, just enjoy the car. All will be well. ?
