Real time traffic Ford navigation not working ? Something missing or setting I need to change ?

Picked up new '23 MME this past weekend, have been driving to work and noticed no real time traffic on Ford's native navigation.

Checked Sync settings and even went into the navigation traffic incidents sub window with nothing to report (impossible in So Calif).

App does not report any issues.

Is there something I need to do or change in order to get real time traffic nav working ?

I rely on Ford's navigation for up to the minute real time traffic.
And no, I don't use Apple or Google map traffic from my phone.

NOTE: from a recent Lightning owner who always had real time traffic navigation - yellow, orange, red lanes showing traffic in real time since day 1.

Have you verified in Connected Services that Connected Built-in Navigation has been activated for 3 years? If it isn't, no traffic. Start there.

The built-in navigation doesn't show traffic unless the Connected navigation is activated.

It says Active but no expiration date.

Is this normal ?

BlueCruise, Streaming and Alexa all say the same too - no expiration dates...

That has happened to some. If BlueCruise works, then you have your answer.

There also is a switch in the Navigation settings in the vehicle to turn on real-time traffic.

Yes, I have all the connected service (SoC, Map location, last location parked, remote locking, etc) thru the app.

Blue Cruise 1.2 and PaaK works well.

Still no real time traffic.

Not in the car right now, but did you go into Navigation settings and make sure traffic was turned on?

Yes, navigation traffic setting is turned on.

I’ve had this same issue since my purchase in February. I tried pulling fuse #11 (I think that’s the number) as posted in this forum but that did not work. I finally scheduled a service appointment yesterday. My advisor told me about a Ford pilot program where they basically update all modules available on my car, which I agreed to. They were able to update everything but the APIM, and will be contacting a Ford engineers to figure out how to make the update work. For now, I’ve picked up my car and at least the traffic alert now works. The dealer did do a master reset on my car so I’ve had to reprogram it. It’s unclear if the updates they did fixed the problem, or if it was the master reset of my car that helped fix it.

Anyway, maybe you can also have all your modules updated under this program, or try a master reset to see if that works the bug out.

After chatting with Ford online, the OTA rep says that my MME modem is active and online.

They did something on their end and now it shows Connected Built in Navigation with expiration date showing.

I'll try it out today.

Yes, the navigation became active with real time traffic about a week after I contacted Ford OTA team.

Yeah, not sure if you ended up following my thread - long story short, it was simply a setting in Connected Services that was untoggled.
