In my defense, it was clean when I left work. 9 miles later it was worthless. A great feature that is wasted isn’t such a great feature.
Yeah, the low pressure behind the car from driving forward is going to make small ice particles or dust particles want to stick to the entire back end of the car. Vacuum deposition. ?‍♂?

It would have been nice if they used a similar camera washer as what they use for the front camera.

While I'm not downplaying your critique and I can see why a heating element around the camera would be useful, I'm surprised that the front proximity sensors aren't heated. The one time I've driven during a light snowfall in my MME the first thing to go was the front sensors "collision avoidance" or whatever. Seems like this should be a high priority especially in the snow.

My Edge has a sprayer for both the front and rear camera. It's very nice. I'll use it even just in rain if a rain drop is obscuring enough of the camera.
So you’re telling me Ford does have a solution for this, they just decided against it. ?‍♂

Perhaps they thought of this but were afraid, with all the jokes about Ford Having heated bumpers, to actually heat the bumper. ?

Another post about problems due to the cold weather. My suggestion is when you pull off the highway and need the rear view camera, get out and take 2 seconds to wipe it off. I don’t believe Ford will end up heating it so this is the best suggestion I have.
