Remote Start has stopped working

June build received end of August. Remote start in FordPass has been reliable until this week. Now it fails 100% of the time - "Warning: Vehicle failed to start". Maybe a coincidence but in the past few weeks my car received 1.6 update and then 1.4 update soon after, but now just shows as "Up to date" on car's screen with no update information anymore. I also reinstalled FordPass after latest update to reactivate PAAK, which is working fine.

Just me with remote start errors? Any ideas?

Really odd, maybe your car is in the middle of now doing 1.7.1. That's generally what it means when you only see "up to date" in the update screen. When its in the middle of getting to 1.7.1, a lot of stuff gets wonky. Plus, I think there was an issue with Ford services the last few days, even a local dealer was having trouble tracking cars, etc.

Did you ever get this sorted? I have the exact same issue with my GTPE.

I did! Somehow the vehicle setting in the car for remote start had been turned off. If I did that, it was unintentional. I had missed the setting entirely when looking through the screens several times trying to diagnose the problem.

Ah, ok. Glad you got it figured out. I’ve checked that setting dozens of times. It’s always on…
