I was wondering if it’s normal that when I remote start my mme, when I enter in the car I dont have to press the brake pedal to ‘’start’’ the car, my wife was in the passager seat and by the time I enter in the car she had start it and I was surprised to see it was in Ready mode.

And you could turn the PRNDL right away, without tapping the brake pedal? That doesn’t seem like a good idea. I would have thought it at least needed one additional action from the user before able to turn the dial.

Yeah, remote start then just press start button to start the car, but now that I think about it it makes sense.. if you enter in the car you press start for accessory mode, or brake then start to get in ready mode, when you remote start why would you want to put it in accessory ?

If it’s “started” whether remotely or internally, the brake should in theory activate PRNDL and then you can drive. I’ll try this later and report back.

So, potentially, if I am close to a car with my phone, for example, my little kid can quickly sneak into the front seat, press the start button and drive? At least with ICE he has to get possession of a key... Hope, that's not a case?
